The second study compared a group of 55 overweight women who alternated weighted hula hoop workouts and walking exercises over a period of six weeks. And what do you know - the hula hoopers experienced reduced fat in the abdominal region!
I think we've all wished at one point that we could spot reduce (or take a little bit of fat from our tummies and add it somewhere else!) only to be reminded that spot reduction is a weight loss myth. Now, I'm not saying we should throw everything we know about weight loss out the window, but personally, I'm feeling pretty positive about weighted hula hoop exercise right now.
